ok next question after the 180 tank move.

I want to use a standard glass 75g tank that is now my QT tank as the sump/fuge, but really not sure how to set it up. My plan is to use aquarium sealant and 1/4" acrylic to divide the sections.

I know I need:

1. an intake section for the 2 overflows to drain into, then some baffles to eliminate the bubbles

2. The fuge section in the center to maximize water flow through the sump

3. Then the skimmer/return pump section (or should the skimmer be in the intake section?) (I use an ASM G-3 skimmer and Eheim 1262 return pump - want to double that and add a second 700gph Lifereef overflow)

4. I also need to have room for about 15-20 gallons in case the power is shut off

5. Somewhere in there I want the heater and any other accesories I add later down the road

Anyone seen one like this or have some good advice?

Thanks

If you have not checked out Melevsreef, there is a awesome DIY page for sumps

http://www.melevsreef.com/allmysumps.html

That might help you out a bit.

Just becarefull of mircobubbles. And keep the flow through the fuge at a slow rate.
