I've called a few places in town to get Calcium Chloride and Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate.

$1.55-$1.59 a pound for 50 pound bags ($77.50 to $79.50 per bag) is the cheapest I have found (Univar). Perhaps they are giving me the schmuck rate???? Of course, if I get a pallet full, it's .50 cents a pound.

I have found it cheaper on line but after shipping, it doesn't make sense either.

Any of you know where to get it cheaper around here?

If not, think anyone would want to split some of this up?

Thanks,

That's really, really high.

I was paying $18/bag.

I know. I swear I've seen it at Home Depot up north for $12!

Univar had over 100 types.... I asked for the price on Dow 77-80% calcium chloride flake. She quoted me the 1.55 price. I even had her double check. The pellet was more!

Surely somewhere around here has it cheaper????

Here you go. I found this online and its perfect for me since I don't need 50lbs.

Shipping is only like $9 for two or three bags.

If you do get a 50lb bag and want to split it up, lmk and I'll get a couple of pounds of each one off of you.
