I have a question, not being very familiar with pvc. I made a 1/2" pvc "feed" line to my RO/DI. The line is under at least 40 psi. I used the purple primer and then glued all non-threaded parts. I just did my 'pressure test' and one elbow leaks.
My question: can I use the primer then slather a bunch of pvc glue on the leaking elbow joint? Does the glue actually meld/melt the two pieces together? If this 'slather' approach won't work, I'll have to cut out the joint and re-do it.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this, or knows if I can fix it in-place, or if I need to cut it out and re-do it. Thanks! ...Karl
