what are some good cheap timer i can get without have to buy the 30 dollar timer from a pet store?

I buy mine at home depot or lowes, anywhere from $12-$17 each.

Wal-Mart has some for $8 or $9 each. just make sure they are the Heavy duty ones. the ones I bought are orange and white.

Look for something that says "Appliance timer" not "Lamp Timer." The appliance timers have the spot for the ground.
