or week, or month, or year :)

EVERYONE wants a mandarin for their small tank but as we know it's really hard to keep enough pods around for one and they generally don't fare well on frozen foods.

The solution...saltwater ghost shrimp! My mandarin in my seahorse tank was getting thin. Guess the horsies gobbled up too many pods. I had only been feeding frozen mysis to the horses but then got a couple sh's that weren't taking to frozen too well so I added a bunch of sw ghost shrimp for them. Much to my suprise the mandarin chowed down on them too. It's amazing how they can fit even a fairly large ghost shrimp in their small mouths but they do. Now he's fat and happy! I've even had 2 customers try them to fatten up their mandarins and they got the same results.

If you have other fish that will eat they ghost shrimp be sure to add the shrimp at night when the lights are off so the ghost shrimp have time to hide in the rocks. That way the mandarin gets a shot at them before the other fish gobble them up.

Another trick to get me back into your shop again. Oh by the way my wife is starting to hate your shop as much as Texas Tropical. I will pick some up this weekend and try it. Mine already eats Fresh and Saltwater Mysis.

Go ahead Alton, just rub it in why don't you?

I've tried ghost shrimp in the past Richard, but not at night. Good idea.
