Whats up everybody?? Havent been here in awhile, been busy with my last year of school and also buying a shop.

Has anybody had to warranty anything from pacific coast imports? My chiller is making a horrible noise when it fires up, I believe its the fan. Just wondering how the service was.

I sent in a pump a week after the warranty expired and they wanted to charge me 50 bucks when the pump brand new only cost 100. This was to drill out a bolt that broke on the housing when I was taking it off to clean it. Let me know how the chiller goes. I have a CL-650 and was thinking about sending it in just to get it checked out to make sure that everything is working fine. It kicks on quite a bit for 80 gallons total volume with a single 400w on it.

My old PC 1/3hp did the same thing, it is probably the bearing in the fan. Mine was out of warranty, and thet sent me a new fan (free) anyway AND spent 15 mins on the phone with me to make sure I understood how to install. I was VERY pleased, to say the least ... I bought a new PC 1HP a few months later!

I called them up today, excellent service. He told me to try spraying WD-40 on the fan motor which did take care of the noise, well when I spayed it the first time he was on the phone and I told him there was some grinding noise and to call him back later if it happend again. Not even 10 min later he called back and said he is shipping out a new motor over night, he didnt want to take the chance of my chiller being down. So diffentaly A+++

Refreshing, isn't it! :)

They made a customer of me for life, I would never consider any other chiller Mfg - their CS was pleasant, concerned, and helpful. Pretty rare nowadays!

I too got that warm fuzzy feeling when I read these posts. :P It does make you want to go buy one even if you don't need it. Steve, I hope your wife is doing well.
