I picked up a PM skimmer with my 215 this weekend. It appears to be an e series skimmer but is taller with a second inlet. I sent this over to PM and haven't heard anything. Perhaps one of you know what the 2nd inlet is for and what exactly I have. I would like to know what the port is for and any other additional info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bottom port is kind of hidden but it is what the little giant is plumbed to (behind black flex).

Thanks,

Richard

I forwarded this link to Mike at pm. Hopefully he'll get time to help you out before to long. He gets pretty busy during the week.

Thanks Richard!

From further searches I think it's probably a CV626. What I have read says that it comes with a valve that goes between the two inlets but I do not know what kind, if there is anything missing and what for....

Perhaps counter current? If so, I wonder why it was all removed?

Again......a mystery....

i have a skimmer that looks very similar to that one, and it does have the plumbing and valve you speak of. i have always figured it was for a counter-current effect, but the only way i can seem to tune it, hardly any water comes out the top anyways. maybe that's why someone modified it. it's a pretty decent skimmer anyway. i'm using a LG 3MDQ-SC.
