Hi! My name is Emily and I will be starting graduate school in marine biology at A&M Corpus Christi in August. I'll be moving down from Denton (north of DFW) with my 9 gallon nano and 58 gallon reef in tow. I am a member of DFWMAS (www.dfwmas.org) and just wanted to introduce myself to y'alls club. I'm really excited about grad school and moving down to the coast (finally!). Any advice about the area is welcome :D

Welcome to maast Emily,the only advice i have is come to SA to shop cuz CC doesnt have much for LFS.

Welcome to MAAST, Emily. Nice choice of schools...Gig 'Em. I agree on the LFS agenda as there is I believe only one good store in CC.

Welcome Emily. You will find some great seafood in Corpus Christi. I lived there for about 5 years before moving to the Austin area. The only fish store I know of down there is tropical fish haven. Good luck!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'll definately make some trips up to San Antonio I'm sure. My boyfriend may be going to school at Texas State in San Marcos so that's right on the way. How many LFSs are in San Antonio?

There are about 10 in SA and the surrounding areas. If you are used to paying Dallas LFS prices you are going to love SA.

Hi everyone, I'm working on my second week in Corpus and it's great so far. I absolutely love TAMUCC and the professors I've met are really nice. I gave my 9 gallon nano to a friend in Denton and won't be moving my 58 for a while so I'm salt-less right now. Been to Tropical Fish Haven a couple of times, wish there were other stores though. Do y'all ever meet down here?
