brand new tank, brand new live rock. and bubble algae starting to for :angry :( m all over the place

All new tanks go through some sort of nuisance algae bloom. It just comes with the territory. Some emerald crabs or a foxface should clean it up. It could be worse, hair algae or cyano or heaven forbid... dinoflagellates.

Bubble algae is an easy one much better then dino's, bryopsis etc.

I would run some phosphate remover, manually remove all you can, and use a powerhead frequently to blow off detritus from the rocks while using some mechanical filtration to remove the gunk you stir up then clean the mechanical filter as soon as the water clears up. Bubble algae really thrives when there is alot of detritus in the pores of the rocks.

no cyano or dinos,, but i'm getting hair algea.. NH3,NO2, RIGHT AT ZERO... NH3 right at 5ppm.. so things are on track.. can't wait till i can get a clean up crew in there
