Hey. I have a 90 gal glass tank I'm in-progress on setting up. I have to drill holes for two 1.5" bulkheads on one of the smaller side panels of the tank. (i.e. like if the tank was going to be used in the penninsular fashion) Each hole will need to be 2.5" in order to accomodate the bulkheads.

Question: what is the minimum distance from the edge (side or top edge) of the tank to the edge of a given drilled hole? Also, what is the minimum distance each hole should be from the other hole?

I ask because I can't help but feel the structural integrity of the tank might be somewhat compromised if I drill these holes either too close to each other, or too close to a given edge. They are, after all, pretty big holes.

Would being 2 inches from any edge, and 2 inches from each other be ok for these holes?

If you have experience with regards to drilling, I'd be interested in reading your opinion. ..Karl

if i remember right all your holes should be atleast the distance of the size hole away from anything. so if its a 2.5 inch hole it should be atleast 2.5 inches away from an edge or another hole. you might want to wait on more people for their opinion though, because im not positive
