Just thought I'd drop y'all a note. Richard came by the house today - ON HIS DAY OFF - to give me some advice and thoughts.

What a great hobby - when a store owner goes out of his way to help out. I'm glad he came, 'cause I'd have done some things differently. He also helped me sort out the Calcium Reactor I got from mikeyboy. It appears, like most things mikey did, it's a bit of overkill! But, we'll make it work!

Yeah, I finally made the "trip" to CB and surprisingly, it was only about 4 minutes further than FA or Alamo
Very nice store too!!!
When I get money I will be going back :)

i visit CB pets about once a week (i work at the HEB "next door")
and they are awesome there, very helpful, full of good information and advice, and there willing to help with anything they can.

Richard and Mark are truly a wonderful resource to MAAST and the hobby in general. For those of you making the trip out to see them, I'll give you a hint. If going up there when the traffic on 281 is bad (when isn't it), take Blanco Rd. instead. Its a nice drive and very pretty. Blanco dead ends on Hwy. 46. Take a right on 46 and you are about 5 min. away from CB Pets. There's only about 3 stop lights that way and you usually catch them green. At worst, its about the same drive time as 281, at best its a lot more relaxed and scenic drive then 281.

Just don't speed though. Bulverde has it's own police dep. now. Not alot of crime in bulverde so they have plenty of time to uh generate revenue.

oh yea, good point, also alog the entire 46 strip there from 281-blanco road, there are MILLIONS of cops... i can honestly say, that i have never driven on there, and not seen a cop, or seen someone pulled over... its very bad.
