I have the D70. I went from the N70 to the D70 and never noticed a difference, except for the big scree on the back, and not having to change film :wub . Go with the biggest SD memory you can but not a microdrive. They are a bit slower (though much bigger) if you want to shoot at high speed, or more than three consecutive frames.

good to know Rob. How much slower is the microdrive?

Not really sure but heard that you can go continous and fill the SD memory if it's fast. I only have a 4 GB microdrive and that hold about 600 pics at biggest and best resolutions

I have a D70s. I like it. I do want a D2x or a D2xs or a D200. But that will have to wait for awhile though. I have already spent way too much on camera stuff in the past year.

On camera I mostly use Auto WB for most situations.
For fish/reef tanks I use "Preset WB" or "Cloudy -3".

I shoot RAW most of the time now. And that does make it easier IMO to change WB in post processing as well as other settings especially when using Nikon Capture or Photoshop.

For programs I use : Nikon Capture, Raw Shooter Essentials, PSP-X and Neat Image. Someday I will get Photoshop. For most things though what I have works for me for now.

that is exactly what i have found too Mark.
i have been told that Adobe Bridge is a really good RAW editing program. it comes with Photoshop CS.
I have only used nikon View so far.
