Hey guys, I want to glue a magfloat to my tunze but I have heard that it could mess with the motor because of the magnet. How true is this? I need help with this one. If you guys can convince me I will try to do this tonight. Tell me what you think.

Not a direct answer, but I had a Maxijet glued to a Tunze magnet mount for several years w/ no problem. How strong is the silly mag float?

I do not think that the DIY version would be much cheaper than the Tunze magnet setup. They are only around $35 for tanks up to 3/4" thick or $50 for tanks thicker than that at Aquatek. I know that my MagFloat wasn't much cheaper than $35.

Just buy the Tunze magnet mount. It will allow you to position the stream in multiple angles.
