In an earlier post "What are these" someone had what was later determined to be pineapple sponges in there tank, My question is are they beneficial or should I try to get ride of them? I have them all over my sump, on the cell pore blocks, in the fuge, even growing on my skimmer.

Totally fine. I've had them pop-up ever since I've had salt tanks and they have never been a problem. They are just a normal/natural inticator that your tank is becoming more matured.

They also show up in greater numbers when your organics in the water are higher. They feed on the stuff that your skimmer is pulling out. I am not getting much skimmate and I don't see very many of them at all. When I had a pooor quality skimmer that wasn't big enough, I saw them all over the place.

Good point, meaning I've probably had too much organics in my tank as well but since I got the Nautilus TE skimmer from Clint (fishypets), awesome guy btw, it is helping my little system out quick, and my cyano is disappearing slowly but surely!
