I've read an article reguarding using Hydrogen Peroxide in a 25ppm mixture to cure fish of Ich and Velvet. Have any of you had any experiances with this? It seems that it could be a very cheap and seems effective treatment for this disease.

Ich is a parasite and velvet...hmm I dunno what velvet is exactly. Fungus? As far as ich goes though I can see how that solution might help fend off secondary infections but I'd be REALLY hesitant to try it without a lot more info on it! Using it as a dip I'd be afraid it'd do more harm to the fish when he breathes it in? Maybe they meant to swab it onto the fish? Seems like that'd be so stressful it still might do more harm than good though.
The only things I've heard touted as the best cures for ich are hyposalinity treatment or copper. There's other products on the market, matter of fact I think the all knowing Fenner recommends one or two, like malachite green, methelene blue, and formalin (excuse my spelling on those) but I've heard and had very mixed results from them. Sometimes they seem to help, other times nothin.
