Loud Iwaki 100rlt

Seems this pump is a bit louder then I thought. How loud should it actually be? Way louder then the HD-55 and HD-40. It's nice to have a closed loop running 10 1" outlets though :)

It's supposed to be louder; it's a very strong pump with really good pressure performance. You might try one of the sequence pumps if you're looking for lots of flow with less noise, and less power draw. If you're ever thinking of running a huge beckett skimmer, the iwaki's perfect for it.

yeah just looking to run a closed loop system with it. No pressure at all other then the t's to split off flow. I'm going to try a SQWD, but they are only 3/4 in and out. I wish they made a 1" version. I've got a dolphin 1200 that should arrive monday that I'm going to give a shot and see how it works. I may switch to that, and sell the Iwaki.
