Does anyone in San Antonio own a euroreef skimmer, preferable a recirculating one like the RC135? I'm about to start building a recirculating needle wheel skimmer with the sedra 5000 and I'd like to have a look at one to see if there's anything I'm not thinking about. BTW, I'm stunned at how much these euroreef skimmers cost if they're what I think they are; almost $700 list for the RC135 (I think) and it's not a very large skimmer.

Matt,

I'm not in SA and don't have an RC135, but I do have a CS8-2. If you are up this way and want to take a look LMK. The Euroreefs are pricey, but they do an awesome job.

yes they are high in price but they work great, i think they are self adjusting.

I have the Euroreef 12-2RC, which I think would be the RC500 under their new-fangled model numbers. Greenmako's is pretty much the same as mine, just has the pumps closer together. Mine is not in use currently if you wanted to take a look at it.

Great, thanks guys! I'll send some PMs. Ideally I'd like to see one working; I have a few more design questions before I build. Mine's going to look different. There will be a box and gate valve drain, and the skimmer will be able to be run recirc or straight in just by changing some plumbing, plus I'll be able to adjust the location of the pump intake and output in the tube, as well as recirculating direction, and there will be no holes in the main tube.

Cool matt. Take a few photos and post your results on here. I'm interested in how it will turn out...
