i have a 250w se mh that will run for three or four days before tripping the gfi. im at work right now so i'll try to remember what i have, i believe its a coralvue? coralife? electronic ballast and yes it is the ballast thats the problem. anyway if anyone has seen this problem before and could give me a few quick tips for repair that would be great.i'll have the actual specs on the ballast after i get home. thanks

GFCI receptacles and breakers trip because of an imbalance between the ungrounded and grounded conductors. How old is the ballast and light fixture? Water your ground rod outside by your service. If your neutral starts floating this could be your problem. Is there anything else that shares the same circuit with your lamp? And it doesn't have to be on the same GFCI. If it was your ballast it should trip on the start up.

I might have an Ice Cap 250 watt electonic ballast up for sale if you are looking to buy another. Check the for sale/trade items.
