Here is mine bought from Austin Aquariums. Very nice piece of furniture made out of Liptus wood. This stand and canopy was the reason I went to a bigger tank.

Oh no way.... my stand and canopy are ugly :sick Thats why you never see any pictures that include them. Come to think of it, my whole setup is ugly..... :huh Well, I like the inside, and to me that is all that counts....

I guess this could apply to more than just reef tanks :D

Hey, Fishypets have you considered adding some hardware to your stand and canopy. It looks great but some knobs and handles sure would make it sweet.

This is a picture of my stand and canopy when they were finished ready to be put together. The canopy is a canopy made by ::pete:: and the snatd was newly bought. All i did was sand and stain them both, which wasnt an easy job, but they looked really good in the end. it was my first time staining anything..but i think it they came it nicely.

ou812, I LOVE your look but don't think it would work with mine.

mine is in wall, but it is too wide for the wall, so one side has a stand i built to match the dining set
i built a few years ago. its made of pecan and cherry that we milled from some land out by fredricksburg.

Very nice work OU812, Reef69 and hobo. BTW Reef how long did it take to complete the staining process? It looks great. I once stained a stand/canopy myself and now understand why people that do that for a living charge so much.

That alcohol is long gone..well, some of it..

it took me exactly 24 hours because i messed up so i had to sand again and apply the correct stain..but i was very careful with the whole process after i screwed up.
