If I want to glue my corals to a piece of live rock in my tank, what kind should I buy (other than the kind that sticks)? Brand?? I have seen some where you can place some glue on the coral and then stick it in your tank against a piece of live rock, no need to take the rock out of the tank?? Is there such a brand?

How do you use it? Do you squirt it all over the new piece and squish it to the place on the reef that you want?

I use the locktite one from HD. I just put a blob on my finger and then smear it on the rock where I want to glue the coral (in the tank). Then I put a blob on the coral and stick it on the rock. Seems to stick better when you are sticking glue to glue.

go to the dollar store, you get 3 tubes of gel for $1. Depending on what kind of coral youre gluing, you need to make sure the surface of the coral (where you are going to put the blob of glue) is really dry. put a BIG glob of glue on it and stick it to the rock in your tank. you may have to twist it to get the super glue to cure faster. Richard's glue to glue method sounds like it would work better, next time Im gluing under water Im going to try that!

Thanks everyone! I'll try and go over to Lowes and purchase some tonight.
Will post if and when I succeed!

Duro is my favorite but the price on it has gone up a lot lately. I'm going to the Dollar Store.

Its always a good idea to have a few extra tubes lying around for those 'oops I just had to buy it' frags. That way you don't have to run to the store ;)
