My cleaner shrimp are gone.
BTA, Giant Brittle Star, Strawberry Crab, Emerald Crab
I'm leaning towards:
Giant Brittle Star, In the Tank, With its mouth
Thoughts????? Two of them in two days are gone!
I checked the overflow and the sump/fuge......went through all the rock with a flash light, nothing. I've kept BTA and shrimp in the past with no problems.
Got two more coming tomorrow, need to put the murder in the sump asap!!!! :angry

anyone got a big sump that would like to trade me something for a HUGE brittle star! My sump is tooo small for him. He is probably 14" across from tip to tip and his mid section is about 2" across.

I took him out and put him in the sump........I smelled his breathe and it smelled like SHRIMP! 40$ worth of Shrimp! DANG IT!
I didn't even think about that because I kept a Blood Shrimp, several cleaner and several pepermint shrimp with my small Brittles and never had a problem. This sucker just got sentanced to life in the SUMP! Unless someone with a bigger sump wants him!

The brittle will get them, especially if they are molting and vulnerable.

I have a huge one in my 75 and has never touched anything in the tank. I think they get a bad rep. because they will often scavenge dead stuff. Of course, I don't have any shrimp in that tank either.
