i have a large( about 8") green BTA that i've had for almost a year, but lately it doesn't show the bubble tips, it's always extended(accept at night). i had been feeding it chunks of squid, but recently switched to silversides thinking it wasn't getting enough to eat. it takes the silversides most of the time, but the bubble tips haven't returned. i've been offering silverside about twice per week. ant ideas?, it looks healthy otherwise, and my pair of percs love it, i just want to be sure it's completely happy.

Try some krill once to twice a week.

I would feed my long tenacle a whole shrimp from the grocery store. He seemed to love it.

I fed silversides to my LTA at one time. I would just cut it in half. I do think krill is closer to their natural diet in the wild though.

Almost any LFS that carries a good selection of frozen foods will have it. I also chop it up and add it to my fish food.

Greasy? That grease is the HUFA that we pay a small fortune for as a fish food supplement in products like Zoecon and Selcon. Where do you think it comes from? :) Fish Oil.
