LTA splitting?

Anyone ever had their LTA split? How long does the process take? Believe ours is splitting and want to have an idea of how he is doing, before I get worried about him... :)

I would say a couple of weeks before both would be normal and healthy again.
I had one split, and that is about what it took for me two have 2 of them out and back to normal.

My RBTAs split, it took about a week for the split process. about two weeks for the main one to grow back to normal and another two weeks or longer to come back into the light and start looking pretty again. the whole time the new one always hid. then one day it got too close to the close loop intake.

I've had several RTBA splits - they take just a few very brutal minutes. One minute there's one, then a few minutes later, there are two! It takes about a week until they can eat. What's funny is how they then move around the tank - they just won't move far from the original spot. I now have FIVE small ones in my 55 - I've promised one to the Moons, and I'm looking to upgrade tanks, so for now, I'm keeping. The don't seem to get very large before they split again. Sorry for the lousy pic.
