I came into the living room this morning to find my brand new Panworld pump sitting in about an inch of water and making a sound like a small propeller in the water..........(one more bad things happens and i quit! LOL)

On that note.....should I do anything to the pump????

Take it apart and spray contact cleaner, relub the bearings, etc??????

Thoughts...is it sealed so that only the fan was getting wet?

I've got the sump/fuge out of it right now so the pump is just sitting on the counter right now and it would be a good time to do what ever to it.

I think the batter backup that I installed last night did something and shut everything down causing it to overflow......dang it!

No...it is pumping water, but being an external pump and then sitting in about an inch of water figured I better get thoughts....

Heck, if its still pumping water and it doesnt smell like its burned out, I wouldnt worry too much about it.

LOOOOOONG Story.....LOL

I checked it and it is all sealed up so the only thing that could have gotten exposed to the water was the back fan and I took the cover off and dried it all real good......Good to go....

Sorry...my IWAKI sucked water into it when this happened and ended up burning up the bearings.
