MH bulb blew up [Archive]

This morning, one of my MH bulbs blew up and pices of it fell in the tank. Most of the pices are glass, but that white, roundlooking thing in the center of the bulb also shatered and fell in the tank. I can't get all the pices out becuse some fell behind the LR. is there any thing tocix in these bulbs?

I would do a water change just to be on the safe side some have mercury others one have sodium vapor.

I blew up an 400w xm 10k over my tank. Accidentally sprayed it with a powerhead and POP! No idea what's inside of them but it didn't hurt anything except my wallet. I still find a shard of glass every now and then in my tank.

I dont know the newer bulbs should all be sodium vapor.

It would not hurt to run some carbon.
