water changes

I mixed up some salt water over 2 months ago and I have not used it. It is sitting in a plastic garbage can on the porch. Does anyone know if this water would still be ok to use? What is the longest time period after mixing with salt should a person not use it?

..I wouldn't use it Eddie..You probably had water evaporate so the salinity must be wack..lol..Maybe bugs made their way in..ants, you never know.. I'd mix new water up..

mix up some new water. The longest I went was about 1month, but that was in a barrel that was indoors.

Has it just been sitting? I have my make up water in a 55 gal drum in the garrage. I make about 45 gallons in it at a time which lasts me 2 W/C. At about 20 gal a month. But I have a pump in there to move the water around and keep it agitated and oxgenated. And have not had a problem (yet). I do check the salinity and top off if it needs it.
But if it's just been sitting there stagnant id dump it and mix up a new batch
