I can usually find it with a search, but nothing on this one ...

Its pink in color, about the size of a quarter, irregular edges, almost flat and glides over the rock.

Although it looks like corraline it isnt. It moves and you can see the shadow around the edge making it look like its hovering.

Its not gum ... as I noticed it "scrunch" up a little. I had to run earlier and didnt have time to cath it and now I dont see it. Hopefully it isnt bad ...

Looks like a starfish to me too. Not all of them have long legs but there is still the star pattern anatomy. If it lives in your tank and doesn't attack corals or fish it is time to start fragging that thing :)

Ok its back out and I cant get it off the rock .. it "squats" closer to the rock as if to hold on and I dont want to pry and kill it.

Maybe some type of chiton. I have big ones all over my tank, don't look like that, but they move around slowly and hang on tight when you try to peel them off.

Maybe a "Gumboot Chiton" :D
