I'm setting up a 100gal tank and wanted to know what would be a better setup. Pros and cons. of a sump or wet/dry.

A sump is nothing but a holding tank for a water reserve - no filtration. A Wet/Dry provides surface area for the nitrogen cycle to take place (biological filter). Weither or not to use a Wet/Dry depends on what other filtration you will use. If you have lots of LR and a skimmer, in a 100g I probably would skip the W/D - it will just take up space under the tank better used for other things.

My first sump had a wet dry above the sump so the water fell through the wet/dry into the sump was the best thing ever till it broke and now I am just running a bigger sump and twice the size fuge. I think a little bit of everything would be best if you can do it.
