Water Quality, Water Quality, Water Quality!

I thinks that's what Paletta stressed! Well, I haven't been as diligent about my water quality over the past few months. I am now fairly convinced that's what brought on my Digitata problem and Redbug infestation.

In just a few days since Paletta I have gone back to rigorous water testing and adjusting my dKH, Ca, Temp, and PH back to the levels that have been the most successful for me. Coloration, polyp extension, and flourescence under Actinics has already improved significantly.

It is easy to get a little lazy in this hobby, but a few extra hours a week makes a HUGE difference :D ... and it is more fun than working too!

Next steps are a PhosBan reactor, and "maybe" a Stronium test kit ;)

Thanks Mike!

Note to all MAASTards: Please bookmark this post and send it back to me next time I post about any problems I am having ;)

We will certainly do that Steve. I am not all that familiar with strontium therefore I never test for it much less dose it. What major role does strontium play?

I have never paid attention to it either! I always counted on the water changes and A.R.M. in the Ca Reactor to replinish trace elements. It is a key element that Paletta said he monitored and dosed. I have NO IDEA what level I have in my tank ... not sure I want to start testing it either!

I think GaryP is getting a test kit, maybe he will post something on his results soon?
