Well yesterday, I was looking(staring) at my tank, when all of the sudden a big portion of seagrass cut on fire..LOL...ok so it look like it, it was the most weird thing I have ever witness, this particular seagrass, it looked kind of like culerpra, but it has kind of teeth, anyway, it used to be really green, and all of the sudden, it started to....lose its green, it look like the green was been excreted from the plant, in the form of ...smoke, for the lack of a better description, in less than 2 min. all turned white, and now it has died
I also have other greens in the tank, and nothing else seem to be affected.
very weird indeed, anybody can chip in and help me understand this
thanks

I think I'll go with Josh on this, after it went sexual, and release all nutrients, I did noticed the other corals and softies "fuller"
so now that there is no more razor culerpra, how are my male fish going to shave every morning..LOL
thanks

Are these true sea grasses or macroalgaes?

Yes

Yes to which? If it is just macroalgaes, then the other responses are true, but if you have marine grasses then that could be a response to environmental issues instead of just sexual reproduction.

bro'..please don't tell me you are a enviromentalist
Not so much. I am using the term environmental to refer to the conditions in the system. What genus/species of grasses do you have? I have been trying to find some locally for my seahorse tank but no LFS's sell any.
