Couldn't resist sharing this with you.

I still can not get my h. Reidi horses to eat frozen foods. So I put SH tank water into a speciman container, net the ghost shrimp, gut load them with food/enhancers, tip the container out ino the SH tank, horses hunt, attack and eat. Great plan, except the female was in a hurry. As I was tipping the contents into the water, she hitched onto the edge of the container. She wouldn't let go so I finally had to hook the container back onto the tank until she was finished eating.

training horses to eat frozen can be tricky, but you can, here is a easy way to do it:

Mix your live shrimp with frozen, the live shrimp will start eating the frozen, and the horses, will get a taste for it; also do a 70% live 30% frozen, and gradually start using more frozen, also put a feeding station for the horses, at the bottom of the tank, where there is little or no current and put some frozen there, the horses will eventually find it, and snack on it, is fun to look at, 6 horses in a feeding station

I use 2 big scallop sea shells, and slowly put the frozen(de-frozen now) on it and let the horses eat

good luck

Jose, thanks for the info. We have been able to train several herds except this one. Someone after having them 1.5 years gave them to us. We have all tried to train them over. Feeding stations like this one?

Oh Jose, you make me so jealous. None for sale. Our little baby factories just quit.
There is a member on another forum who has had three batches in 6 weeks. To top it off they only had their pair for a short time before the first batch. Some pple have all the luck or skills. TR, Shirley

In answer to everyone's question, my h. Reidi SH was never out of water except for her tail. Guess I should have made that very clear. Thanks for your concern, TR, Shirley
