new tank

picked up the new tank yesterday. oceanic 156 gal. ordered from TFH. had it drilled for a close loop . will have a pic. of the tank up later. tank is 60.5x24.5x25. the bottom is 3/4" thick and the rest of the glass is 1/2".

Awesome, I was looking at those. I have been looking at the 180 Oceanic, I like the front to back 24" and the 6' length. I'm not a big fan of the 25" height, rather have 20" or so and the megaflows. This has me leaning towards getting 180 from some other place, would really like to have one with overflow across the entire top on back, I think called calfo? I haven't found anything around Austin though, unless I'm looking in wrong spot!

custom is the only way for you to go if u want 20" high and the full back wall overflow. if u want glass try glasscages.com. if u want acrylic. try Tropical Fish Haven here in CC or some local tank builder. i think that will be your best bet. i like the 25" depth. with 3-4" sand bed it get you to the 20" where you can still reach the bottom of the tank with your arm. if u did that on a 20" you only have a depth of about 15-16".
