Well I just wanted to drop a line and say hi to everyone. I recently moved here from Kansas City and look forward to starting another saltwater tank. I sold everything before my move, however I find startup the most exciting part of the fishkeeping hobby. For my next tank I think Im going to try to keep all reef safe fish with softies only as I really want to try out the T5's that are out on the market. Really wish I would have kept my MH setup, however Im looking forward to getting away from SPS's this time around.
Looks like Ill get into a house sometime in November, then all the fun will start back up again. I looking forward to meeting you all at one of the meetings and always look forward to checking out other peoples tanks.
BTW, thanks to the MAAST member that informed me about this board, I know he went by frogguy1 at the KC fishheads group however I dont know the name here.

So, what are you thinking about setting up - size, filtration, circulation, etc.?

Come to a meeting and met a few folks! Watch the calendar and anouncements for the next one (Sept).

Thanks for joining us :)

Sorry, I guess I should have placed that on there. Im in SA as I was just relocated here. Right now I live in the Quarry area as I explore this place to find a house. I must say that so far Im impressed with this city, so much better than KC. However Im originally from Detroit and Im looking forward to not seeing any snow in the winter.

spuds,

If you are interested in a T5 tank, you need to hook up with Don.
He runs an all T5 setup.

Well, that can almost be guaranteed ... but we are a few years overdue for our once every 7 years 2" dusting :o

If you are tolerating our current heat, and don't "like" snow ... "you might be a redneck" ;)

you'll find a ton of great people on the site.
You will also find lots of eye candy here in SA....
Just depends on what kind of scene you like.
Give me an idea, and I can point you in the right direction, as I frequent the nitelife 2-3 nights a week.

Geez guys last night I went down to the Riverwalk to Clube Rive and Polyesters, and had a blast. Good times were had.. Does anybody from SA hang out down there? I met people from LA, Dallas, Corpis Christi, and Chicago. Not a one from SA. Kinda funny. I need to find some of the places where the locals hang out, any suggestions?

The T-5s seem to be working great. I use 8 of them so far and going to add some more to the system.

I worked down on the river for several years. Not many locals go down their on a regular basis, it mainly a tourist thing. There are a lot of other great places to go party at better prices where you don't have to pay to park.
