Yesterday I was looking at my aquarium and thinking how well it was finally doing. I have coralline algae growing pretty much everywhere. I have tube worms growing all over the inside of my CPR dual bak filter in the center part (can't tell if they are in the skimmer part, too many bubbles). My fuge is doing great, I recently added an extra light to get more algae growth. I notcied how healthy all my fish looked yesterday, the clown fish are growing, the cleaner wrasse is happy, and the copper banded butterfly had gorgeous color as usual. Even the nessarius snails have started getting brave and one will crawl around at day time every now and then.

I wake up this morning and turn on my lights and my copper banded butterfly was dead. There was nothing unusual or any disease symptoms going on with it that I could see. It was alive one day and dead the next. I gotta go cry now. :(

Sorry to hear of your loss as well, TK :(
Sounds like everything was going so well too. CBBs are noted as having a less than stellar survival rate in home aquaria though...I know that won't make you feel any better about your loss, but hopefully you won't take his passing to heart as far as it being your fault. Maybe a Yellow Longnose Butterflyfish would be a consideration for taking your CBBs place? They are much hardier, and very pretty. ;)
