I saw this little bad boy crawling on my glass. It is snail-ish, but has tenticles or something growing on it's back. Is it good, bad...it's definitely ugly? First 2 pics are looking down in him, 3rd is profile.

Is is crawling around on your glass?

Hmmm...that's weird. I've never seen a majano crawl up the glass. Have you gotten any new pieces of LR lately, and if yes, where was the LR from? That would kind of give us a start as to the natural habitat of this critter, and figure out what it is. Personally, I've never seen anything like that crawling around in an aquarium. Definitely seems to be some sort of anemone...but whether it's bad...that's a good question. :unsure

That last pic looks alot like these odd little anemones that we have in a few places in our rockwork. They hang out in divits and holes in the rock and sting the stuffing out of whatever touches them. Of course, the ones that I'm speaking about generally only come out to feed at night, so this may not be the same thing. It's actually kinda cool looking, but you may want to banish it to your sump or (?) until you are sure. I'll go through my invert and coral books later and see if I can come up with something and let you know...hopefully I'll find an answer for you.

It could also be one of those walking (swiming) anenomes or a curly cue anenome.
I have plenty of majanos in my aquarium and when they are young the majanos look like zoos then later develop bulbous tips. I kind of like the majanos because they look nice and don't reporduce super fast (I know they are bad though).

Could it be a tulip anemone? Mine glow like that and can move pretty fast when they want to go somewhere.
