I am wondering what everyone uses to test their water for calcium? I want to buy a tester but I am unsure of which is good and which is complicated or bad.

Any advice would be greatly appreaciated! :wacko

salifert... I have gotten pretty good with it and can now test in just a few minutes using the low rez option. Well worth the extra few bucks

I have used both Salifert and Seachem. They are basically the same. I think I get more tests from the SeaChem kit.

If you use the low range (said to be more accurate) you will get more from salifert.

For the price that you can get them for at www.customaquatic.com ($16), the Salifert is a great choice IMO. Only problem is they are very often backordered.

Of course if you can find it at a LFS for close to that price, even better! I've used a few and I've liked the Salifert the best so far, just my experience.

Wolf reef sells salifert at around that... I think I paid $16.99 for my calcium test kit and a bit less for the alk
