I was looking at Sanjays website an particularly at the EVC bulb and ballast combinations. Here is the lamps compared to each other. To me the 14kk looks better the the 20kk blue wise and PAR wise.

Let me know what other bulbs would be good to look at as well. I will not have supplemental actinics. I will need to look at some 20kks in person to see if I like the color or not.

just realized that this is probably in the wrong forum so it can be moved. I am going to try the 14kk first if I don't like it I will find something else.

If you are going to go without any actinics, I would recommend you find the bulbs with the best spectrum at 420 nm you can. Go to the XM website and take a look at the spectrum on the 10K SE. 420 nm is the spectrum you are interested in with an actinic bulb. Its the spectrum that is thought to give you the best pigment development in SPS.

not too sure how the yellow in the 10k is going to look with out some blue supplementing bulbs. Anyone got pics of XM 10k without supplemental lighting?
