EDIT

Can someone tell me what color wire corresponds to what pin on the ballast, or post a pic of the connector plugged into the ballast.

/EDIT

Can someone post the wireing diagram for this ballast. The sticker is worn off of the ballast.

What type of bulb setup? It can differ.

Well, I found this on the net, but I guess I need to know the correct wire color for each pin on the connector(so let reference a 4 bulb harness).

Also, is the small connector the power connector, or do the power wires come from the large connector.

You need to use an ice cap harness, unfortunately you cannot use just the ballast. I ran into this problem too because some pins were pulled out of my harness when I got it and had to send it to them. They repaired it for free though, ice cap has great customer service.

Also, is the small connector the power connector, or do the power wires come from the large connector.
The smaller, 4 pin box is for an optional dimmer which most people don't use.

I've got the harness, but I need to make sure which wires go to which pin before I hook it up, partially because I dont have a brown wire, but two yellows, and its hard to tell the diff. between blue and purple, so If i know what pin on the ballast goes to which color wire, I'll be able to wire it up correctly for sure.

Thanks Josh, I already have that one though.

Basically what I need to know is that when looking at the ballast connector(assuming the top left is pin 1 and moving to the right is 2, 3.......) Pin 1 is yellow wire, pin 2 is unused and so on.

Not really Dan, thats what I thought I needed to begin with, but now I need to see what wires correspond to what pin on the ballast to verify my harness since I dont have a brown or purple wire.

Can you or someone else post a picture of the harness where it plugs into the ballast...

Thanks,

I wired up an icecap ballast without the need of their own harness. it's just a simple molex connector, nothing special. You can find the wire colors and their corresponding locations on RC. It's been a while since I did this myself.

Ahhh Heck with it, searching RC for 'Icecap pinout' found this, exactlly the thread I used when I did this.

Cool,

Thanks guys. I got what I needed from the link Brett posted and confirmed it with your pic. Looks like I'll be hitting tinkertronix for some pins...

Kinda looks like Jerry had to fix my harness at some point in time....Jerry can fix anything and never needs any parts... :D

Here is the info from RC for future reference.

Looking into the male plug with the wires at the back and the snap clip at the top going left to right:

Top row: purple/brown/brown/yellow/red/blue/blue/orange

Bottom row: purple/red/yellow/orange/X/white/green/black

Thank again guys.

Glad I could help.

I got all my parts from tinkertronix as well :P

Hey I have some extra pins. 3 female and a bunch of males. If that is all you need shoot me your address and I'll mail them to ya.

Thanks Brett,

Im going to need more than 3, so dont worry about it. We might actually have some at work, so I'll check there first. I need to check to make sure the ballast works anyways. It looks like its wired for 2 bulb right now even though the colors are all screwy :wacko so I'll try it out before I do anything...
