Bought a Tunze 6060 and it will not fit on top of my Oceanic 125. The lip is to big. Anyone else have this problem or know a simple solution?

Get the magnetic holder. Or contact Tunze with the dimesions of your tank and they will make a fitting for you. The magnetic holder will be cheaper though and you can mount it anywhere. I have one and highly recommend it.

Or you can put it "IN" the rock... http://www.marinedepot.com/md_viewItem.asp?idproduct=TZ1551

By "magnetic holder" you can also just silicone the pump to a normal tunze power cleaner magnet or something similar.

The Magnetic holder "ROCKS" it lets you position the Tunze anywhere in the aquarium. WolfReef was able to get the Tunze Magnets for about the same price as online.

I saw all these posts about the Tunze magnetic holder, and since that would solve a problem we are going to have with the current bracket set ups not working on our 210G (we have a canopy now, and didn't want to cut holes in it), I looked up the price of the one that would work with our glass thickness...yikes...$47.82 plus tax for a magnet. :blink
LOL...anybody have two used ones they want to sell? :P

They sell a kit with longer screws for tanks with trim. Its less than $10, but you could just goto the hardware store and buy the screws for even cheaper. All you need to do is replace the two top screws at the top of the mounting kit.
Also, the newer 6060s should come with both the longer and shorter screws.

I believe that is the kit you need, but double check.

Thanks for all the replies! I will probably go with the magnet just to make it easier! ALthough, I have that thicker glass like Wendy!

I have the magnet on my 135 and the glass could be twice as thick and it would still work. Just be careful when mounting the magnet. You need to place the inside piece in first and then place the outside piece well below it and slide it up the glass until they meet. If you try to just put them together, you could crack your glass from the impact of the two magnets coming together. These are VERY strong magnets.

The magnet is the only way to go, just be VERY careful because the magnets are super strong.
