I had a little P. clown in my tank about 1.5in lastnight i couldent find him.. I just recently changed my tank setup now using a overflow.

When clowns sleep do they get sucked into the overflow?

I checked all around the tank to see if he jumped out but wasnt there and he is not of the filter pad so the last place is maybe stuck in the pvc since it is slotted to drain the water over the filter pad..

Kinda sucs cause that was my first saltwater fish.... :(

Also look behing the overflow box. I had a clown that used to love sittng between the glass and the box. Mine was a black acrylic box so I had to look from the side to see him.

Ive had that same problem, you look everywhere and you dont find the clown, and the only conclusion you get is "somebody stole it!"...look under the stand, there's where mine was. I even took all the rock out, stirred the sand looking for a corpse..nothing..maybe he jumped out, look around the tank..

theres a strong possibility that he/she just died and the tank ate the corpse... you may want to make sure all is well before adding another!

maybe a water change, run some carbon and a solid round of testing??? There are lots of reasons that a change like that could "shock" a tank. Maybe the coral (if any) got stressed enough to toxify the water, maybe the fish got stressed enough to loss the slime coat and was eaten by the anemone (if any)... etc...
