i have heard that garlic is not really a treatment, but just a preventative measure. it wont kill the ich, but it will help the fish build its immune system so it has less of a chance of getting the parasite. again, this is only what i have heard from others.

I have heard that certain corals eat bacteria in the water. Is it possible for corals to eat the ich in its freeswimming stage? Something has to eat them or they would eventually go nuts in the ocean.

A high level of vitamin C is also a good preventative.

MikeP talked about feeding citrus fruit to Tangs in his talk in Dec. I have a miniture tangerine tree that isn't so small anymore. I constantly have fruit dropping from it. I think I may have a use for some of them.
