I know I can get this online, but I'm wondering if anybody knows of a place somewhere in Central Texas (I'd probably be willing to drive a bit) to get black PVC pieces? I need some 1.5" and even some 2" fittings and pipe.
Also, has anyone painted PVC (or anything for that matter) that will go inside the tank? What type of paint would I need to look for?

I've never ordered from there but many people from Reef Central have. I think there are a couple other places online too.

use Krylon Fusion. Gerry at TFH here in corpus use it in his tanks that he builds as do I. Just let it cure.

Thanks for the tip! How long of a process would the curing be (estimate)? Would it save me any time over just ordering some online and waiting a few days for the fittings to get delivered?

it's up to you. I let it cure for 48 hours. I dont know how expensive black pvc is compared to regular white but the can of spray paint is only 4 bucks.

oh, ok. 48 hours is no problem. For some reason in the back of my mind I thought I remembered reading some type of paint that took literally weeks to be fully cured (not tacky). I think I'm going to go this route. Thanks bumpin.

FYI, see this thread. I found some black PVC fittings and black spa-flex tubing- all the way up to 2"- at a local Pond supply store...
