First what is it called?
Second was $20 a good deal for it or did my lack of knowledge cost me?
My wife and I like it so $20 was good for us but I am curious of the name and actual worth.

It is freakin big! We knew it was big but it was in a 25ish tank so we figured it wouldn't look so big in a 125, well it does. 7-8" tall and equally as wide.

Looks like you got a good deal. That appears to be a colt coral to me. Was it slimey to the touch? They grow very large, and that is mearly a frag in comparison to what size it is going to get.

I forgot to mention that colt/Cladiella sp. will grow very fast. Be ready to move frags.

I couldn't tell from the picture if it was a Colt or a Finger Leather. They are very similar species. My first guess was a colt. It needs high lighting with a strong water flow. Very easy beginner soft coral and will grow like crazy if given the proper conditions.

OK now it has been identified anyone want half of it?
I like it but it is way big, half of what size it is now would be cool and still plenty big for me. It has become the focal point of the tank, you can't take your eyes off it more less see anything around it :D

probably either Cladiella or Capnella sp., very nice, and at that size and price a great deal.

I will be happy to trade you a frag of it for one of my frags. PM me for details.
