Got me a sirenge..... mixed up some kalkwasser in a bowl and injected a couple aptasia and you just see them melt away.... I know I didn't win the war but I won the first fight :)
and I was also told to do one section of the tank a day or couple of days so you don't over kalk :)

Good idea, we had someone post here about a real high pH last week. I was mystified until he told mentioned he had been using Kalk paste to kill aptasia.

I currently have one aptasia in my tank. i was goint to wait until the meeting to know how to kill it but since inject kalk works, i will try that? One question, if i kill it it wont spread will it?

i use a syringe w/ the needle and actually inject it inti their bodies. this seems to be more effective than just squirting it on them, if you can get to them that well.

I do the same thing and just inject to their mouth kills them everytime. Its the ones you cant see or get to that reproduce.

That's the advantage of stocking with Berghia. They find the aiptasia you'll never see.

I'm glad your finding the kalkwasser to be effective... it never worked for me but straight white vinegar did (and much less ph problem). Do stop what your doing... I say if it ain't broke dont fix it, but if those little suckers keep coming back you can also do a bit of research on alternative "cures" i.e. vinegar, lemon juice... all have there place
