I am going to be drill my tank and I cannot find anyone down here to drill it as of yet. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a diamond drill bit 1.75" to drill two holes in my tank?

Take it to Forever Pets (AquaTrends) on Basse Rd. They will drill it for 20.00 a hole.

Well that is not bad but it would take me about 4 hours to get there but I might just hold on tell I ans get that way to drill it thanks for the info. I might just buy a diamond hole saw as well nevver know when it might come in handy.

Somebody had a 1-3/4" bit for sale a week or two back. You might check the for sale list. I got mine from this oksupplies (http://stores.ebay.com/OKSupplies), and it's worked beautifully. The price was good as well. I've drilled three holes with it, and Travis (serpinski) drilled three with it. It's still in good shape, but isn't the size you're looking for.

If you do get one to do yourself, just remember to go slow ans keep everything wet and cool.

WOW your are right they are the good price. I will probably just buy one sense I will more then likely have more then one tank. Upgrades are always in the future.

... Upgrades are always in the future.

Too true. BTW, feel free to pm me if you have any drilling questions. While I'm certainly not the smartest one on the list, I have probably drilled the most recently. (third hole drilled last weekend. Used a hand drill on that one).

Doug, Fred from Exotic Pet World once told me that he could drill my tank. The only thing he said was that it was a little risky and he was not responsible if he broke the glass.

Yeah I called him but he never returned my call. Every thing the store is high and I am afaid he will charge to much to drill it. I can get a drill bit for 31 shipped and if I drill it myself then I have no one to blame but me.

I understand what you are saying. I beleive he charges 40 dollars. You are better off investing in a drill bit and then you can charge us for drilling our.

I wouldn't charge at all well maybe $5 to help cover the bit. Not sure how many times you could use a bit before it goes bad.
