okay last night i think i put to much bakingsoda and water in my tank...do i have to worry right now..??? should i start changing water? or wait for it to drop...???what happens if it is to high??? how high is to high???thz..

ph jumped to 8.6.....yikess....and i dont have a ca test kit...rich hancock

A dKH of 12.8 and ph of 8.6 is not really a big problem. Calfo actually recommends a ph of 8.6. They are both a little higher than I would recommend but shouldn't be a problem. Hopefully your livestock did not get too stressed by the rapid change in params.
