I had to turn my pumps off for awhile and after awhile of them being off i noticed these disc things below the top of the water. They move along like a jelly fish would but look like zoa polyp without the long gastro cavity thing. There are hundreds of them, they are about as big around as a piece of pencil lead. Does anybody know what these are? I dont have a camera so no picture.

They could be medusa. Many critters form a jellyfish like larval stage called a medusa. It would probably be hard to narrow down what critter produced the medusa.

I was thinking they were some kind of larva. I turned my pumps back on so they are gone.

I have seen little jellyfish looking critters in my fuge. I have some hydroid colonies in my tank in a few spots and can only think that maybe its the medusa stage of these guys but not actually sure. Little tiny about the size you are talking about and pulse along. Kinda cool looking!
