lighting advice

I want to change to ALL t5s on my 135g. How many would be adequate for full coverage for 6ft of tank? I want to use 48" bulbs because I feel that they are the most common. Should I alternate the bulbs off of each end to get good coverage? I know this would give more light at the center and help penetrate the brace. What do you think? Tim feel free to comment, also.

Why not use 36" bulbs? you could put them end to end and cover the entire tank.

I'd have to agree with Mike. Then you could fit 12 bulbs on the tank.
