Jim Norris is getting his house finished and is starting to plan a small tank. I am going to be sending some frags to him the second I find out he is up and running. If anyone wants to give me some of your rare frags for free, I will be sending them to him with mine. I am only going to get Jimbo to pay for shipping... Here is your chance to give a little some back to a man that has done so much for us and this great club! Not to be picky, but I don't want anything that you can find easily at the LFS. I am hoping this will go out in a couple months.

Wow, what a nice thing to do. I wish I had something rare to give, but my tank just has basic stuff in it. If I get something especially nice I will gladly frag a piece of it. I never got a chance to see his tank in person, but heard nothing but great things. I hope he gets a nice variety of rare frags.

Maybe all that received his stock when he broke down his tank could find a frag and give Jim back his corals! ;)

Jim did a lot of fragging and gave probably hundreds of free frags away to members. He won't ask for anything, so I feel strongly that we can repay his generousity back in frags. I just hope that he will accept these from us without trying to give us something in return....LOL....

Tim, is he looking for just SPS?

I'd love to pitch in, but Im in the same boat as Randy, most of my stuff is pretty basic.

he isn't looking for anything. ALthough I know he plans on an SPS tank. I am interested in sending anything though as long as it is not ordinary. Jim will certainly find a place for everything. I have a double box (extra Large) that I would like to fill. I am sending frags of most of my sps, some ricordia, and a Bright Green Kenya. I am planning about 20-30 of my own frags and whatever anyone else wants to pitch in. We have time though so think hard about what you want to send. I will send him a note with the shipment letting him know who all contributed so your donation will not go unseen. This will be from all of us, not just me.
P.S. I can send whole corals also if you want to get rid of one to make more room, but please remember no ordinary. Please do not be offended if I turn down a donation either, most corals are spectacular in and of themselves, but I am looking for a cut above. If you have something awesome, let me know. Nothing is too little, even two zoo polyps that are beautiful, will go! Frag something today and get it attached to a little rock!

Tim I have a few corals from Jim's old tank. I have a nice colony of the elkhorn that he got from seaworld, I will make a good sized frag from that. I also have others and a few zoos. I would love to contribute to his new tank.

I am going to clear out my 75 breeder and start putting the frags in there. It has a 400w DE 20K over the top, but ricordia, zoos, and most corals do fine in there as well as acropora.

Jims a great guy and helped me out with more then just aquarium stuff. I will be more then happy to pitch in. I dont know how rare the stuff is I have, but I will send you a few pics and let you make the call. I have some zoos and I could cut a few heads off of my blasto. I also have a green cap frag and my frog spawn has a head on it that got crushed by a rock a few months back, but is growing back. Its small, but I could cut that off as well. I will get pics to you soon, just let me know.

Tim, the only remotely cool thing I have in my tank after the great heat death, is some all orange zoa's... interested?

If they are bright orange make a small frag.

Bright enough? I got them from Sam.

that was shot under a 10K 175 watt XM and and even mix of 10K/Actinic power compacts at a depth of 26 inches.

cool. I will be up in the Austin area, either next week or the week after and can drop it off if you like, it would be on a wednesday. (the only issue is whether or not my truck is going in the shop this week... seems to be misfiring).

Hey Tim. If your still going to get those blue Zoos, I can also pick up any Norris donations while I'm in SA. Would be easiest to meet up @ or near FinAddict if anyone wants to do that instead of comming to Austin.

Tim; shoot me a pm and we can work out a time to meet.

Sounds good.... Glad I can help in some small way.

Any SA people that are making donations to Jim Norris and want to spare themselves the drive to Austin can meet me at FinAddict or close by, Sat between 4-5pm.
Feel free to shoot me a pm to make arangements.

Tim, can you have your friends send the basic stuff to us reefers in the rgv. We do not get sps corals over here. Our lfs has two very basic acro 2" frags priced at 79.00 and that is basically it. Tim? Asking for a huge favor since I know you are influential in Maast, could you please take a look at my thread in the general reef discussion forum. It deals with starting a maast chapter in deep south texas or helping us start our own reef club. PPPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEE.

I am looking for anything with color. I am not looking for anything rare, just something that is not completely tan or brown. We are in need of some sps and anything you can help us with would be great. I will round up my troops and let them know. They are going to go crazy. Tim, please pm me if you can with what you have available. I do not want to keep hijacking your thread.

Tim - I have a few of Jim's frags in my tank - some may actually be from Minh's originally. I can frag off whatever .
