You know its great setting up a new tank but know I have another question. I added a dragon gobie on Monday, haven't seen him since. No floatie not in skimmer not in sump, apparently not in tank, yes I moved 50 lbs LR around to check. Do these guys burrow into the sand or do (did) I have a kamikaze who got out of a hole in the top of the tank. He's about 4" long btw. No sign near tank anywhere and no strange smells either :) I know he needs to get used to tank but am now worried he is houdini reincarnated, thanks for everythign you all have helped with so far btw.

i had a yellow watchman goby, saw it for 2 days then it dissappeared for months only showed up wanting to be fed. then when i went to a larger tank, i transfered everything over, but i never saw the goby during the transfer , until a few months later when he showed up hungry again! so i think your goby is still in your tank....... somewhere.......

our wrasse showed up in our overflow too after about two weeks...i thought he was a goner. by the way...i have an engineer gobie and my live rock was rearranged quite a few times the first month he was in there. At least now i know the rock is stable!

Yup, check your overflow(s), I'll bet you will find him in there!

It is amazing what these fish can do! I have a Fairy Wrasse that has gone from one tank, into the return, into the return plumbing, across to another tank's return, out of the return and into the other tank ... and BACK AGAIN! :o My tanks return plumbing is all interconnected, but the wrase had some strong current to swim against!

I got a diamond watchmen goby the other week. And it ended up in my sump as well. I did not run anything over the tank at the time and he ended up jumping out CRIES! So I built fishytraz and they are no escaping fishies.

Exact same story, well almost.. My hi fin banded goby was in the sump for a week or more before we found him and then last night he jumped, found him this morning on the way out the door.

What are fishytraz? I lost to fish in the past 24hrs that jumped and were not found in time.
